One thing that I would really like to do is to purchase an iPad for my classroom. This is a wonderful tool that I can use with any student. I can use them in one-on-one instruction, centers, small groups, etc. Some day I hope that I'll have enough of these for each student to use. I would love to learn more about this tool and the many different apps that are available for educators.
Even though I was unable to attend this year, I would really like to go to a TIES conference in the near future. This conference sounds like a wonderful way to learn about all the latest trends with technology. I would learn more about how to use technology effectively in the classroom.
I have also been considering becoming a member of ISTE. This organization has many resources available to their members. One thing about this organization that I found interesting is that they have their very own ISTE Island on Second Life. I have never used Second Life, but I could definitely how this could be a neat tool to use in this organization. It gives a chance for members to communicate in a virtual reality world. After networking with other educators in this way, it might be worth looking into using it in the classroom.
Finally, I plan on continuing to pursue my Master's Degree in Educational Technology. This Introduction to Technology course has really opened my eyes to the unlimited resources and tools that are available. I'm excited and eager to begin working on other courses to expand my knowledge of technology in the classroom.
